We will need the following important documents and information from you:
- The original death certificate or an original certified copy of the death certificate, or the local equivalent
- The deceased’s NatWest International sort code and account number
An original copy of the Death Certificate can be authenticated by a Bank Manager, Lawyer, Accountant, Manager of a regulated Credit or Financial Institution, Commissioner of Oaths, Notary Public, Justice of the Peace/Member of the Judiciary, Senior Civil Servant, British Embassy Official or a serving Police Officer.
We will return an original Death certificate to the person who provided it to us.
Other documents will also be required, and these will depend on the value of the estate, jurisdiction and possible other factors.
